CompressAR® StrongArmTM System - Continuing Excellence in Mechanical Compression.
The CompressAR StrongArm System, introduced in 2001, builds on a tradition of excellence spanning over 30 years. The CompressAR StrongArm System provides the same cost-effective, convenient operation that clinicians have enjoyed with earlier versions of the CompressAR product line, and is used for the same wide array of hemostasis procedures.
Comprising the StrongArm and the 3-Finger Jack sterile Disc, the new StrongArm System provides secure femoral compression and greater patient comfort during hemostasis, resulting in more stable Disc positioning and increased patient satisfaction. Clinicians use the StrongArm System the same way that they've used the CompressAR Universal, and will quickly start enjoying the the new system's benefits. Because clinicians avoid having to use manual compression, muscular fatigue and risk of injury caused by repetitive motion is greatly reduced and clinicians minimize their exposure to blood during the hemostasis period.
The StrongArm can retrofit to CompressAR Universal Stands currently in use, enabling quick, easy conversion by current CompressAR users with a simple Arm changeout. The StrongArm System is also available as a complete CompressAR Stand and is available in versions which have Arms of either standard or extended length. A version which can be used with the Hill-Rom TotalCare® Bed is also available.
The new 3-Finger Jack Disc comes in a unique design. Its features include:
- the ability to pivot on the StrongArm, to better conform to each patient's body contours
- a non-slip, softer material which increases patient comfort and reduces the chance of Disc migration
- the V-Notch enables proper visualization and cleaning of the puncture site
