The CompressAR® System is simple and inexpensive to operate, and provides convenience, comfort and cost benefits to the hospital and its clinicians and patients. Designed as a hands-free mechanical compression system used by clinicians to easily achieve post-catheterization femoral hemostasis, the CompressAR System decreases blood contact and increases technician and nurse productivity. In addition, the CompressAR avoids muscle strain and disabilities caused by repeated use of the muscles required for manual compression. Because of its consistent application of compression, the CompressAR also increases patient comfort and avoids complications during the hemostasis period, providing outcomes as good or better than manual compression.
The inservice is grouped into several sections. These include:
- Prior to CompressAR application
- Preparing the patient
- Positioning the CompressAR stand
- Placing pressure
- Releasing pressure and observation of the wound site
- Removing the stand and monitoring the patient
- "Reminders"
- Cleaning Instructions.
